Terms of Services

Welcome to Money Code Lab (“Money Code Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Money Code Lab is a financial literacy ecosystem for children and teenagers, offering education, games, and real-world learning experiences through our website (www.moneycodelab.com), mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Services”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Money Code Lab. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these Terms on your behalf and must supervise your use of the Services. By accessing or using the Services, you (or your parent or guardian, if you are a minor) agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Parental Consent

  • The Services are designed for children and teenagers and are intended to be used under the guidance and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • A parent or legal guardian must create or approve any account for a minor and is required to review these Terms and our Privacy Policy before granting permission to use the Services.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for the accuracy of information provided during account creation and for supervising their child’s activity on the platform.
  • We reserve the right to request verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from a minor, in compliance with applicable law.

2. Description of Services

Money Code Lab provides financial literacy education through interactive lessons, games, simulated financial activities, and related content designed to build practical money skills in children and young adults. Any in-app currency, points, badges, or simulated transactions have no real-world monetary value unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Parents and legal guardians must safeguard credentials used for a minor’s account and ensure unauthorized access is prevented.
  • Users under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from creating an account without the direct involvement, guidance, and explicit approval of a parent or legal guardian.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, provides false information (including misrepresenting age or parental consent), or is used in a manner that compromises the safety or security of other users, particularly minors.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

  • Certain features, content, or premium subscriptions within the Services may require the payment of fees. All applicable fees, billing cycles, and payment schedules will be clearly disclosed to you prior to the completion of any transaction or purchase.
  • Payments are processed through secure and trusted third-party payment gateways, including Flutterwave and other authorized service providers. By initiating or completing a transaction, you expressly agree to be bound by the relevant third-party payment processor’s terms of service, privacy policy, and operational guidelines in addition to these Terms.
  • All stated fees are quoted in the applicable currency indicated at checkout. You are responsible for paying all charges incurred on your account, including any applicable local, state, or international sales taxes, transaction fees, or currency conversion charges applied by your issuing bank or payment processor.
  • If an account is operated by or for a minor, all purchases, paid subscriptions, and financial commitments must be executed or authorized directly by a parent or legal guardian. Unintended or unauthorized transactions made by a minor remain the responsibility of the account holder.
  • All fees and payments made on the platform are non-refundable, except as explicitly provided in our separate Refund Policy or where mandated by applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Acceptable Use

To maintain a safe, constructive, and secure environment especially given the presence of minors on our platform, you agree to strictly abide by the following standards. Any violation of these standards may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your access to the Services:

  • You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to facilitate illegal acts, or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international laws and regulations.
  • You are strictly prohibited from creating, uploading, transmitting, or sharing any content that is harmful, abusive, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate. Any material or behavior that endangers, exploits, bullies, harasses, grooms, or seeks to harm a minor in any way will result in immediate termination, an irreversible ban, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
  • You must not misrepresent your identity, age, or relationship to a minor. Attempting to manipulate registration details, falsify parental authority, bypass parental consent mechanisms, or circumvent age-verification controls is strictly forbidden and constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
  • You agree not to probe, scan, test, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, underlying systems, networks, database infrastructure, or other users’ accounts. You must not deploy viruses, malware, or automated scraping scripts against the platform.
  • You may not copy, duplicate, reverse-engineer, resell, license, or commercially exploit any portion of the Services, software, media, or proprietary materials without our express, prior written authorization.

6. Intellectual Property

These assets are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
  • Subject to your strict compliance with these Terms, Money Code Lab grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and view the content solely for your personal, non-commercial, educational use. If the account is used by a minor, this license extends to the parent or legal guardian solely for supervising the minor’s lawful use of the platform.
  • You do not acquire any ownership rights by accessing or using the Services. Except as expressly permitted under these Terms, you are strictly prohibited from:
    • Copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, publishing, or broadcasting any platform content;
    • Creating derivative works, educational materials, or secondary products based on Money Code Lab’s proprietary content;
    • Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to extract the source code or underlying algorithms of any software, games, or digital tools;

    • Commercially exploiting, sublicensing, renting, selling, or redistributing any part of the Services or course materials to third parties without prior written permission from Money Code Lab.
  • The Money Code Lab brand name, custom logos, graphics, and slogans are registered or unregistered trademarks of Money Code Lab. You may not use, display, or frame these marks in connection with any product, service, or promotional material without obtaining express, written authorization beforehand.

7. Child Safety

  • Money Code Lab maintains a strict, zero-tolerance policy toward any behavior, content, or communication that threatens, harasses, endangers, or seeks to exploit a minor. The safety, privacy, and well-being of young users are our highest priorities.
  • To protect minors from unauthorized or predatory contact, the platform restricts direct, unsupervised communication between users. We do not permit direct messaging, private chat features, or unmonitored contact between unverified adult users and minors. Any interactive features designed for peer-to-peer engagement are moderated, monitored, or strictly limited to controlled, age-appropriate environments.
  • We actively employ automated systems and human review processes to monitor platform activity, public areas, and shared spaces for inappropriate content, abusive language, or suspicious behaviors. We reserve the right to remove any content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that present a potential risk to young users.
  • Parents, legal guardians, and users are strongly urged to report any suspicious activity, inappropriate content, unwelcome contact, or safety concerns immediately. Reports should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line “URGENT — Safety”. Safety-related reports are prioritized for immediate review and action.
  • If we discover or suspect any form of child exploitation, abuse, grooming, or serious threat to a minor’s physical or digital safety, Money Code Lab will immediately terminate the offending account, revoke access, and notify the appropriate law enforcement and child safety authorities, providing necessary platform data in accordance with applicable child protection laws.

We do not guarantee continuous, timely, or error-free access, and we are not liable for system outages, platform delays, or data delivery failures.
  • Services, educational content, and tools are provided on an “AS-IS” and “AS-AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind.
